About Me

Tom Barrett is President and Founder of two ICANN-accredited domain name registrars founded in 2001: EnCirca, and Name Share. Tom also serves as Chair of the Blockchain Subcommittee for the International Trademark Association. EnCirca specializes in partnering with top-level domain registry operators, including: .CPA, .BANK and .REALTOR. EnCirca also provides registration, custody backup and integration services for blockchain-based domain name projects, including Handshake, Ethereum, Unstoppable Domains, Decentraweb and NexBloc (where Tom is also an advisor). In a prior life, Tom led the development of SAEGIS for Thomson-CompuMark (now part of Clarivate), a research platform for trademark lawyers. Tom has engineering degrees from MIT and WPI and lives north of Boston, Massachusetts.
